I've just released a public test version of DOSBox 0.73 for the Dingoo A320 and Ben Nanonote.
Whilst I initially did most of my testing with the A320 I ended up doing my testing primarily on the Nanonote which is perfect for this kind of emulator.
What I am saying is that if things don't work on the A320, let me know :-)
Anyway, here it is.

Hi Slaanesh
ReplyDeleteJust try Dosbox on NN
Got some game running but pretty slow
In addition, I can't set vieo output to VGA Only and go No sound even with the Nosound=false... Any advice ? (Mortys)
Forget the sound stuff... it works but really laggy. But no way to force VGA only resolution
ReplyDeleteHi Slanesh. Great.
ReplyDelete@Mortys: just turn Sound on in your doxbox.conf file.
I wrote an HOWTO Start Apps with Volkov Commander or using different Profiles with Gmenu2x.

I did some testing and it is very nice for its state. I made a video of Street Rod 2 and Commander Keen 4 using this Dosbox on a Dingoo:

Using "cycledown" for speeding up games.
Nice app, I hope it will be updated soon.
This is pure awesome. Thanks for this, been waiting for this every day since you first posted about it :)
ReplyDeleteHi Slaanesh
ReplyDeleteAs the Dingoo and even more the NN are limited on memory maybe it could be usefull to lock the maximum spec of the emulated PC, like VGA (320*240) and a sb2 or Sb16 and a 386 cpu or something like that.
Never heard of the Nanonote before, now I've ordered one, thanks a lot (sarcastic tone). can't wait till it arrives. I've always wished I could plug a keyboard into the dingoo so that I could program in basic on the go.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if you had the source available for download anywhere that it could tweaked or ported to other small embedded Linux platforms.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the hard work.
Hi Slaanesh! Thanks a lot... I'm now playing Prince of Persia, and soon I'll post a video on Youtube. Do you think to improve a new version of DOSBox? I hope that Prince of Persia have sound suport. Anyway, thank you very much!
ReplyDeleteI've given development a little break as I needed to do some other things for a while.
ReplyDeleteI'll get back to this shortly with mouse support and full keyboard support for the Nanonote as well as being faster all round.
Hey Slaanesh, can you share to code for combined development?
ReplyDeleteb.regards
I've just started working on this again adding internal mouse control. I've had a long break from development as I was a bit tired of it, but I'm slowly getting back into it. I've been using my Nanonote to use DOSBOX a fair bit, which is a first for me, I usually don't end up using my own developments. DOSBOX is interesting to me as there is a huge scope of software to explore. Once this is done, I will release a new binary - which will also be 20% or so faster thanks to profiling the code - I will also release the source code.
ReplyDeleteReally looking forward to your next release. Minus the sound, Monuments of Mars runs great on my Nanonote and I can't wait for further improvements. Good work!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your work, slaanesh!!
ReplyDeleteHey Slaanesh,
ReplyDeleteAnd FBa? Abandoned? It´s the best emu for Dingux!
Thnks
Any news of this project, master slaanesh?
ReplyDeleteI've got DosBox 0.74 ported across now. Lots of improvements. I've been beta testing it for many weeks now. Sorry I've been a bit slack with actual releases. I need to know what kernel people are using for Dingux to ensure compatibility.
ReplyDeleteThe most used kernel is the sciences kernel, Thanks for continue developing for the dingoo. Im looking forward for the next dosbox release (and for the next fba release) :-)
ReplyDeletehi Slaanesh, are you still working on a new release of dosbox?
ReplyDeletehi Slaanesh, you are one of the best coders for Dingoo. Thank you! Will be released in this year for public test of DOSbox Beta?
ReplyDeleteYou can give the source code for the developers try port for Gemei A330
ReplyDeleteHi Slaanesh, thanks for yuor great work. Any news about yours Dingoo proyects?
ReplyDeletePlease come back :) FBA320 needs some a lil love
